For the filling:
1 lb cooking apples (4 medium-sized apples) (450g)
3 oz sugar (75 g)
½ lb brambles, (225 g) washed
For the short crust pastry:
1 ½ oz margarine (40 g)
6 oz plain flour (175 g)
A pinch of salt
1 ½ oz lard (40 g)
Cold water to mix
